Why was it made by an Italian?
We will investigate the gargoyles situated on the Old College and learn about classical sculpting techniques.
What decisions do sculptors go through when working up a commission? What is the Greek toe? We will also discuss the contentious debate of putting statues on pedestals. This tour is temporarily with drawn as renovations are happening in the Old College and two pieces are boxed in and cannot be seen 😦
