What is Aberdabbadoo?
Aberdabbadoo offers creative, guided walking experiences around Aberystwyth. Each walk brings out the stories, characters and history of the town in a relaxed, sociable way.
Where are you based?
Aberdabbadoo walks take place in and around Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales. Full meeting-point details for each walk are shared at the time of booking and in your confirmation email.
How long do the walks last?
Most Aberdabbadoo walks last around two plus hours. This usually includes time for a short pause along the way.
Where do the walks start and finish?
Start and end points can vary depending on the walk.
For example, the Rosemary’s Legacy walk starts from the railway station waiting room on Alexandra Road in Aberystwyth.
For all walks, you will receive clear joining instructions when you book.

Places are limited, so booking in advance is recommended.

What is included in the ticket price?
Your ticket includes the guided walk and storytelling, plus refreshments
Some walks include a drink or refreshment stop with a local collaborator, this will be mentioned in the walk description.
What should I wear and bring?
Aber is by the sea, so it is wise to come prepared for Welsh weather.
- Comfortable shoes you are happy to walk in for up to two hours
- Weather‑appropriate clothing (coat, hat, sun cream, as needed)
- A bottle of water
- If it raining heavily you will be contacted as storms bring high waves and can compromise safety.
Are the walks very physical? Do I need to be fit?

The walks are mostly on level ground around Aberystwyth. You should be comfortable walking at an easy pace for up to two hours, with short stops.

The routes are on public streets and paths in Aberystwyth, which may include some uneven surfaces.
Can I bring children?
Some walks will suit interested older children and teenagers, especially those who enjoy stories and history.
There is no set age guidance listed yet, so if you are thinking of bringing children, please get in touch to check whether a particular walk is suitable.
Are dogs allowed on the walks?
If you would like to bring a dog, please contact Aberdabbadoo in advance so we can confirm whether dogs can join that particular walk.
How big are the groups?
Group sizes are kept to a manageable number so that everyone can hear and join in.
We usually take no more than 12 guests
Can you run a private or bespoke walk for my group?
Yes, private and bespoke walks can usually be arranged for groups such as friends, families, schools or clubs.

Do you run walks all year round?
Walk availability varies through the year. The current programme and dates are shown on the booking page.
Some walks are seasonal. Register your interest and I will make contact when a date is listed.
What is your cancellation or refund policy?
We can offer a refund or transfer if you cancel more than 2 days before the walk. Inside 1 days, tickets are non‑refundable. If we have to cancel a walk, you will be offered a full transfer or credit.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Walks go ahead in light rain, so please dress for the weather. In the event of severe weather, we may need to postpone for safety. If this happens, we will contact you using the details provided at booking.
How do I find the meeting point? Is there parking nearby?
Each walk has its own meeting point, which will be clearly described on your booking confirmation.
Parking in Aberystwyth includes public car parks / on‑street parking near the town centre. Details will be sent on booking. A good all round site to park is
just further up the road from the Starling Cloud- a walk in to town. What Three Words ///puddings.tiger.proves please check local parking information or plan to arrive a little early to find a space.
Most walks are within 5 minutes from railway station.
Can you run walks in Welsh or bilingually?
Walks are led in English, with some Welsh words and names along the way.
